Built as a retrospective piece, this project for Biserica Maranatha Suceava focused on marking 50 years of history through a carefully constructed video that brings together past and present into a single, coherent narrative.

A timeline shaped through memory, voice, and archival fragments.

The process leaned heavily on editing rather than filming, starting with sourcing and selecting archival materials—from early construction footage to recordings found across online platforms and past live streams—followed by structuring these elements into a balanced timeline that avoids both overload and gaps, while integrating newly filmed interviews with long-standing members and pastors; particular attention was given to pacing, transitions, and emotional progression, moving between celebratory moments such as baptisms, weddings, and community gatherings, and more reflective segments that honor those no longer present, all supported by layered audio design that combines interview sound, archival clips, and carefully selected music to create continuity and depth throughout the piece.

EDITING AS A WAY OF RECONSTRUCTING MEMORY.

The final result is not a linear recap, but a composed narrative that connects generations, blending technical editing decisions with emotional sensitivity, and shaping a video that reflects both the history and the spirit of a community over time.
